AT 11am this morning, Wales head coach Wayne Pivac announced his squad for the upcoming 2020 Guinness Six Nations.
The former Scarlets coach will be making his debut appearance in the prestigious tournament, having only been at the helm once so far for Wales, coming up against the Barbarians back in November.
Here it is, your 2020 Wales Six Nations Squad.

GLOUCESTER’S LOUIS REES-ZAMMIT
Despite being uncapped, this may not come as a surprise to many, as the 18 year-old winger has been in fine form in the Gallagher Premiership. Zammit has scored seven tries for Gloucester since the beginning of last year, so Pivac will be delighted to have the youngster at his disposal. Zammit only adds to the strong attacking force for the defending champions.
SARACENS’ NICK TOMPKINS
With the ever-reliable Jonathan Davies being sidelined with a knee injury sustained during the World Cup, the most popular question in recent weeks has been; who willl fill the void? Josh Adams has been the talk of the town, with guesses pointing towards a midfield partnership of Adams and Hadleigh Parkes. Like Zammit, Tompkins is uncapped and looking to make an impact, and has been doing so domestically with the Saracens. Tompkins featured in England’s u20 World Championship winning team, but has made the switch across the Severn, and has qualified due to a Welsh grandmother. The 24 year-old grabbed 15 tries and 18 assists in 2019, so he will no doubt by chomping at the bit for a place in the starting 15.
WILLGRIF JOHN, JOHNNY MCNICHOLL, WILL ROWLANDS
There are three more uncapped players included in the squad. Sale Sharks and former Cardiff Blues prop WillGriff John is included. Johnny McNicholl gets his call up after impressing for the Scarlets and in his debut for Wales against the Barbarians. Lock Will Rowlands of the Wasps, who stands at 6 foot 8 inches, also gets the call.
RHYS WEBB
Rhys Webb gets the call ahead of Ospreys’ Aled Davies and in-form Rhodri Williams of the Dragons. However, a soon as it was announced Webb would be returning to the Ospreys, it seemed almost certain that Webb would be included in the Wales squad, having been capped 31 times previously. The topic of debate over the next few weeks will no doubt be who Pivac will choose at scrum-half come February 1st against Italy, only time will tell, and all eyes will be on the starting nine.
